Mimicry Artist This bay backed shrike was a regular vistor to the resort where we stayed at masinagudi. The call of this guy is quite harsh. But since the shrike eats small birds also it once in a while tries to imitate the calls of other birds to trick them :)

I don't know how to find out if it is a bay-backed shrike imitating a bird, or actually the other bird, unless I see either of them!
