The long tailed shrike has been on my wish list for quite some time. He is beautiful and I had gone to hebbal many times specifically to make good potraits of this guy but luck has not been on my side. At manchinbele this guy perched in front of our vehicle for a short period of time. With this guy need to be careful that some catch light is there in his eyes otherwise the eye tends to merge with the black patch that surrounds his eyes. In this image actually his eye is clearly visible only in the bigger version of the image.
