Flying at speeds measuring 80kmph swallows can be very difficult to photograph in flight. I have tried in the past at Mavathoor to capture the Barn swallow in flight and did not succeed. Again last week at Manchinbele tried to get the Red rumped swallow in flight. Still no success. Had to wait till this guy took mercy on me and perched. BTW if you have noticed the perch in my last post and this is the same. Actually the long tailed shrike arrived at the perch then this guy came and drove him away.
