Last weekend me and Jaimon went to Nandi hills to shoot Indian pitta. People from INW had seen the pitta near the pond adjacent to nursery. But unfortunately we did not get to see it. It was pretty frustrating in the sense after having driven one way for 90kms to reach there we did not see what we came for. It was not just the pitta alone actually we did not get to see anything at all. Just after entering I took some shots of this guy and some flowerpeckers. Little did I realize those were the only shots I would go back with :(

"Pitty" about the pitta, that's birding for you! It's even worse when someone who has been there the same day comes jubilantly back home with "wonderful sightings" of the bird that evaded you...

If it was hebbal not seeing something seems ok. But nandi hills is something which am not able to go regularly because of the distance so it is even more disappointing :)
