Hornbills are endemic to western ghats and dandeli is one of the places to spot them. These clear shots were possible mainly because of the information given by the person who is doing research on hornbills at dandeli. Thanks to the researcher. We realized the value of information mainly because the earlier day we had roamed in the forest for 4 hours and with the thick forest canopy spotting them was extemely difficult forget about photographing them. Ideally the second photo should not be posted because what is shown is the nesting site of malabar grey hornbill and as a rule of thumb nesting birds are not photographed for the fear of disturbance. But it is a beautiful bird and I have so many shots of this bird wanted to share atleast one. So this will be a photo restricted only to my blog.
