Brahminy Kite ( TG Halli )

This kite was nicely perched on top of a hump when I reached tg halli. I took a couple of shots which did not turn up well. The sun was coming out and he decided it was time to leave. I immediately moved the 30D to servo mode and shot this. I took a couple more in servo mode but only this made it. Technically I would have preferred more light and this is not the first shot I have landed up in a scenario where the back lighting is too strong. Guess I would have to look into buying a neutral density filter to soften the backlighting and improve contrast. On the otherhand I liked this shot because he had a curious look on his face ( click on the picture to see it) and reminded me of lord garuda ( vehicle of lord vishnu ) from amar chitra katha
