Over the weekend made a short trip to one of my favourite places Masinagudi. Some images.
Sun rise over Nilgiri mountains in the morning.

It has been a while since i have seen the malabar giant squirrel. This cute fellow was having his breakfast upside down :)

In Birding there is a saying "A bird that is super difficult to spot in one region might be a tame resident bird in another region". When i started birding long back remember running behind this flycatcher in Nandi hills trying to get a nice image in the morning light. In masinagudi in the place we stayed they were almost resident even coming by to our outside table when we were having tea :)

It is not required to do the post processing by rules & numbers though that would lead to accurate spread of colors with in the latitude of sensor dynamic range. Here the processing was more oriented towards retaining the pleasant morning feel and keep the contrast muted.
