Sambar deer in a natural framing between two trees. This was the only sambar deer we encountered as part of the safari. The sightings were few at Bhadra. Does not mean the wildlife density is less here it is just that they are not found closer to the safari tracks. To overcome this artificial salt licks and water holes have been setup close to the safari tracks in places like BR hills and Kabini. It has not yet been undertaken here.
