Trip to Manchinbele
Manchinbele is one of my favorite spots. Me and Jaimon decided in the last minute that it has been quite some time since we went there. So made a trip to the dam in the morning. Saw huge bird sitting on top of tree in golden morning light. Initially thought is was a tawny eagle then thought it was a spotted eagle. Finally after posting in INW found out it was Black kite :(. I have also a put a bee eater image here because saw the black kite and bee eater sitting adjacent to each other and it was nice to see the difference in sizes. The black kite is arould 75 cms and the bee eater is only 9 cms. This bee eater by the way is an adult bee eater. Notice the elongated tail feather.
