This was my brother Vijay's first trip to BR hills and I should say he has amazing "deer" vision :) This post is for him. On every nook and corner he spotted some deer. That is the reason I guess in this trip I was able to make images of all the three variety of deers found in BR hills ( Spotted, Sambar and Barking ). Interestingly all the ones posted here are males. One pattern as far deers are concerned is we usually see them hanging around in a patch that is sandwiched between safari tracks and thick vegetation. So whenever a safari jeep passes by they get alert and keep an eye and if required move into the vegetation if scared. All the 3 deer images here were made exactly in this scenario.
Spotted Deer ( Male )
This is the most common one of the lot and the least shy one also.

Sambar Deer ( Male )
This guy is usually shy but in this case he thought we will not be able to see him and stood in the same pose for 10 minutes in the midst of all the vegetation. As usual I could not spot him till Vijay pointed where he was. In fact after making some images we moved forward while he continued to stand there confident about his camouflaging ability :)

Barking Deer ( Male )
This guy is the most of skittish of the lot. Always on his toes. Think in this case he was comforted by the fact he was behind a tree.
