Collared Scops Owl
It is weird that the ability to spot varies drastically from person to person. In my case I am quite poor when it comes to spotting birds or animals amidst lot of clutter. So time and again it has happened that the guide during safari ride used to get pissed off that I am not able to see it when it is so obviously in front of him. This was one such instance. The guide pointed at a tree trunk and said "Collared Scops Owl". I was excited since I dont have an image of this subject and immediately looked up. To my dismay I did not see it. The guide pointed it again and again but still I was not seeing it. After a point looking at the expression on the guide's face I just nodded in agreement with him and made some images in the direction he was pointing though I was not sure what I was shooting. Only after downloading and during post processing I really saw the owl. Camouflage in nature is amazing but what I find even more amazing is the guide's ability to spot this guy from a distance of 30 feet.
