Couple of images showing birds in their habitat. Both were made at Mavathur Lake last week.

Red Wattled Lapwing

Common Sandpiper
In one of my earlier post I had mentioned painted stork number's are diminishing because of habitat loss. The sandpiper is one of the species that is not affected by habitat loss. Part of the reason is that they are not fuzzy eaters and they eat anything that comes their way.
