Long billed vulture
Deepa's post and Amogh's post reminded me of the ramangara trip I did couple of months back.

We were standing on the rock waiting for the sun to come up and the vultures to take off. I had pointed the camera towards the cliff waiting for some action to occur. The vulture came to the edge of cliff and spread its wings ready to take off. I had the focus locked on the eye of vulture and as it took off I started clicking. Only later did I realize the vulture had actually dove downwards at eye level before flying above my head towards the sky. This is a full frame image which gives an idea about the size of the vulture.
