Beating the cold
During early mornings and late evenings the forest tends to get very cold. Looks like these birds have their own ways of beating the cold.
1. Hoopoe's walking on safari tracks and kicking dust to acquire warmth generated by passing jeeps on the ground.

2. A babbler sits puffed up retaining body warmth.

3. In addition to being puffed up this spotted dove decided it was a good idea to continue its nap till the sun comes out.
