In Bandipur we had decided to take a drive on the road to see if we could spot anything interesting. Afet driving for sometime we spotted a peacock standing on the ground. Jaimon stopped the vehicle on the spot and we waited hoping that he would jump on to a nearby branch and might pose for us. The wait was worth since he did jump on to a nearby branch. With the cool wind blowing his tail feathers were waving and it was an amazing sight to watch. Since it was the main bandipur road traffic piled up around us since we spotted the bird on a road turning we were blocking the on coming traffic as well. People started honking and shouting at us. The peacock was not at all bothered by this honking and he continued to pose. In return we too ignored all the shouting and honking and continued to shoot him. I had shot around 60 frames of this guy. Usually after a shoot I preview the images and decide what to retain and what to throw off. In this case this guy is so beautiful just dont have the heart to delete any of his images :(. Click on the image to view the bigger version.
