Visit to Ranganathittu
We visited ranganathittu on sunday morning. This is my second visit. We wanted to be there early in the morning so we decided to start the previous evening itself. Jaimon,Anu, Priya & Myself started from Jaimon's place at around 5:00 pm. With the Mysore road in good shape the drive was pretty fast and we reached at around 7:00 pm in the evening. Since we could not get booking in Mayura river view we stayed at a place called Balaji resorts very close to the bird sanctuary. Morning we got up early and we were at Ranganathittu at 6:00 am itself. Though we could spot a lot of ibis it was very difficult to take any photographs. The boat ride started at around 6:30. Compared to last time where we did the boat ride at around 11:30Am and it was too sunny this time it was pleasant. The other thing is the number of birds spotted early in the morning is also high since after the sun comes out the birds go into hiding or shade and chance of spotting them is difficult. We finished the boat ride in 45 mins and after that walked by the nearby park where we spotted munia's and kingfisher. We stayed there for around 15mins before deciding to wind up and start back.
