On the second day of the visit at Bannerghat Nature camp we had gone for the morning walk. On our return back we encountered this Indian Gaur. Apparently this guy has had a history of knocking of vehicles and it was clear he was not happy with our presence. He was just 10 ft away from us and at 6 feet and weighing around a ton it was clear if he wanted he could knock us off and we stood no chance against him. The fact that I was able to get such a clear shot with out any zoom explains how close he was. We were a group of eight and we just stood still. After having stood there for around 10 minutes with out any movement or sound one by one as per our guides instruction we just slipped past him slowly. Personally this has been one of my scary moments.
